Worship and Music

Services:

8:30 AM (A smaller, less formal Communion service; infant/toddler care provided)
11:00 AM (Infant/toddler care provided; children’s worship as well)

Communion: the first Sunday of each month at the 11:00 service; every Sunday at the 8:30 service, and on special occasions. In the United Methodist tradition, we welcome all those wishing to encounter the presence of the Risen Christ at his Table. Children are invited to commune as well, at the discretion of their parents or caregivers.

Music: Our Adult Choir welcomes people of all singing abilities. Under the direction of Director of Music Ministries Deborah Wiley, the Adult Choir practices on Wednesday evenings (7:30 – 9 PM) and offers music at the 11 AM service.
Our Children's Choir rehearses on Sunday night, as part of the "FROGs" program (see Childrens' Ministries Page.)

Bell Choirs are offered for adults (by audition; rehearses 6:30-7:30 PM Wednesdays), and for Youth (6th through 12th grade; practices on Sunday afternoons at 4:00 PM).

If you would love to play bells in a relaxed, non-religious context, come be part of Cast ‘N Brass of the Blue Ridge. Under the leadership of Floyd Boone, this community-based Youth/adult bell choir meets at the Church on the first and third Sunday nights at 7-8:30 PM, and is comprised of a diverse group of Roanoke and Botetourt residents. Cast ‘N Brass often share their joy for music with local rehab and retirement homes, and have been profiled in the Roanoke Times. With any questions, contact Floyd Boone at 540-293-5765.
